Introducing Onituska Tiger sneakers. These sneakers are a collaborative item between valentino and Onituska tiger. These sneakers were released 4 days ago. There are two models the Japan limited edition model and the Onitsuka Tiger model.A man called Onituska Kihachirou started the ascis brand.For Japanese people, Onitsuka brand sneakers are associated with school, PE and playing sports as a child. Many people don’t think of this brand as a fashionable brand. In Japanese high schools apparently about 55% of high school basketball players wore Asics sneakers. When people go away to university and college they tended to start wearing brands like Nike or Adidas. For people of my generation, Onitsuka sneakers tend to bring back memories of being forced to practice hard and follow rules.
Following the sneaker boom which started in the 90s, the Asics and Onitsuka Tiger brand images have just recently changed. I was surprised to see this collaboration with Valentino. Retro sneakers from these brands are also really popular recently.
Recently, the Onitsuka Tiger brand seems to have become a fashionable choice. My personal recommendation is that the Asics sneakers, especially their knit style sneakers are incredibly comfortable to wear. Actually I wear these type of sneakers almost every day here in Tokyo.

Both of the models have the Valentino V mark. The Mexico 66 model is the classic style. The sneakers tend to be quite narrow so be sure to try them first if you have wider feet. The Japan limited model is clean and simple. That might be one of the best points of these sneakers, their retro simplicity.
