"Forrest Gump Point" is located on Scenic Byway 163 in Monument Valley in Utah, at mile marker 13 (about 15 minutes away from the state line with Arizona). It is halfway between Monument Valley Tribal Park, Arizona, and the town of Mexican Hat, Utah.
It was named after the fictional character Forrest Gump from the famous eponym movie (1994). This point is where Forrest Gump (acted by Tom Hanks) ended his cross country run, after running for more than 3 years, and decided to go back home to Alabama.
A sign has been put on the side of the road to determine where he had stopped. There are different locations where you can pull over on both sides of the road. The road is not very busy but it requires caution if you take photos or videos on the road. You will probably see other tourists taking a photo there - not only because of the movie but because the scenery is amazing.
