Nearly 40 members of the University of Washington's marching band were injured after their charter bus (left) rolled onto its side on Thursday. The bus was one of three charter buses carrying members of the Husking Marching Band (right, file image) to a football showdown at Washington State University when the accident occurred. According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, the bus was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90 when the driver lost control and rolled over around 5.20pm. There were 56 people on the bus and nearly 40 of those victims were taking to several local hospitals where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The injuries reported were cuts, complaints of general pain and back pain. None of the injuries were critical. Road conditions were extremely slippery and icy in spots, officers said. The charter buses were headed to the Apple Cup, which is scheduled for Friday, in Pullman.
