International Architects Sweden:
Given that the title of "Architect" is not protected in Sweden and therefore becoming a member of Sveriges Arkitekter* (Architects Sweden) is not compulsory for an architect in order to be allowed to practice architecture, we have invited Katarina O Cofaigh of the Sveriges Arkitekter to give us a brief introduction to the structure of the organization, the role it plays in the industry, and the important benefits of becoming a member of this organization, as an individual or as an architectural company.
Katarina O Cofaigh is an architect SAR/MSA and the senior advisor at Sveriges Arkitekter.
She has worked in many different areas within the organization, competitions, titles, public procurement, education, etc.
Katarina has also been involved in the international organizations for architects and was the president at the Architects’ Council of Europe in 2003.
