A quick comparison of the classic DS-1 Distortion this time against the MXR Custom Badass 78 Distortion.
While the MXR 78 is based on the classic DS-1 circuit, it is much louder and has a little less gain in it's normal mode (crunch switch off)
I am re-amping the rhythm guitar track through the pedals, swapping between them while increasing the distortion.
The pedals are only effecting the rhythm guitar track.
The amp is a Marshall 1987x. I'm plugged into the bright channel with the other channel connected with a patch cable. The cabinet is a closed back 2 x 12 with G12M Greenbacks Celestion impulse response.
The guitar is a USA Fender Stratocaster (1960s re-issue).
