Tell Me Why (Alberts-Gold) by The Four Aces, featuring Al Alberts
The Chester PA quartet followed up their 1951 debut hit of “(It’s No) Sin” with this million-selling ballad. It spent several weeks at #2 (locked out of the top spot by Johnnie Ray’s “Cry”) and was paired with the old standard “A Garden In The Rain” (also posted) on the flipside. Eddie Fisher’s cover version of “Tell Me Why” was a top-10 best-seller as well.
