Raven Roxanne
Raven Roxanne is an abstract and impressionist painter located at Slate Studios in the Cigar Factory in Charleston, South Carolina. Raised on the Gulf Coast, she was inspired and raised around the creative influence of her family’s art gallery, The Zoo Gallery. As one of many artistic minds in her family, she went on to receive a BFA from Auburn University. Her artistic practice is a response to the colors, energies, textures, and composition of her life. She has created a lifestyle surrounding her work, thriving on the strength of women, the beauty of imperfection, and the harmony of mental and physical well-being of the figure. Through her work, she hopes to invoke a connection for viewers while representing the truest version of herself.
Lulie Wallace
Majoring in Art at College of Charleston, Lulie Wallace started painting shortly after she graduated. She wants her art to be a challenge, to hopefully evolve for the better, and thinks it is a privilege to be in her studio and to be a part of creating something that she loves. She really does think that her paintings very much reflect who she is and what she is attracted to in her everyday life. She is attracted to joyful, thoughtful people. She loves bright, vibrant colors and hope that the paintings that she creates have a timelessness about them and are passed down to daughters and granddaughters.
She and her husband, Harrison, recently moved to Columbus, Georgia with their daughters, Edy and Katherine. They are daily encouragers and supporters who she is very grateful for.
