At a press conference in Ottawa, Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall discusses her private member’s bill, the Sex-Selective Abortion Act (C-233). If adopted, the bill will prohibit a medical practitioner from performing an abortion if the reason is based on the gender of the child. Wagantall is joined by Dr. Kiely Williams, as well as by Tabitha Ewert, legal counsel for We Need a Law.
