The city of Vinnytsia has together with the municipal energy company initiated a comprehensive programme aimed at reducing energy consumption and upgrading the distribution system for the supply of heat.
A substantial share of the energy investments in Vinnytsia are financed by the DemoUkraina trust fund. This fund was established by the Swedish government and is administered by NEFCO. The funding mechanism supports a demand-driven heating system that paves the way for regulating the heat that ordinary people want to consume.
