The mangosteen fruit tree grows exclusively in Southeast Asia and is widely cultivated in many countries, like in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and India. The fruit is sometimes referred to as the Queen of Fruits, which technically needs do explanation because they taste so good, but it’s really because of its unique sweet–sour taste and beautiful deep purple rind.

In order to grow it, you need a temperature of at least 10 degrees celcius if you want to grow year round
A really cool thing about mangosteen plants is that it does not require pollination. It has flowers that are both male and female, which means they are capable of self-fertilization. This is very rare in nature.

Also just so ya know, mangosteens are also really healthy, containing a very high number of minerals and powerful antioxidants.
