In the meantime, we are warming up with these short daily practices. Every day, we focus on one essential element of your gait pattern.
Today, while walking, pay attention to your arm swing. Is. Is it practically absent, exaggerated, or asymmetrical? We can learn much about our movement and postural habits from observing the dynamic arm swing.
Always start your practice by observing what you do spontaneously. Give yourself time to sense it clearly. First, on your right side and then the left.
Then, exaggerate the R arm movement forward. Notice the change in the length of your step on the opposite left leg. Then, exaggerate the backward swing of your right arm. How does it impact your cadence and leg movements? Do the same on the left.
Finally, walk with both arms swinging. Not too much, not too little.
