This 15th Anniversary Director's Cut of Mother's Day is remastered in HD, with new updates and original color presentation - and is the definitive version of the film. (YouTube's compression stinks however, so unfortunately you're still not seeing the best possible presentation.)
This version removes many of the changes made in the 2015 "Final Cut" release, but retains certain updates (and a few new ones) to create the definitive version of Mother's Day, while also feeling even more Friday the 13th.
2007 / 2022 | Once there was a boy named Jason Voorhees who drowned at summer camp when the counselors weren't watching. First, his mother got revenge. Then, Jason rose from the grave. And now, everyone knows you can't kill a legend... but a legend can kill you.
Adapted from the first novel in the Camp Crystal Lake series released in 1994, Mother's Day was produced and filmed in the summers of 2006 and 2007 in New Hampshire, and was first released on YouTube on July 13th, 2007.
Director's Note: I'm still super proud of this film. My friends I and spent a summer camping out together, running around with our cameras with barely a budget, still living in the days of prosumer DV. And I love Friday the 13th. I hope that comes through in the film for those of you that can look past the low budget quality and stick around for this trip to Camp Crystal Lake. We did our best and had fun. -CS
