We spent our first full-day in Armenia exploring the capital city, Yerevan. We tried delicious Armenian food including dolma, dumplings, Armenian bread, matzoon, and homemade chicken soup, and loved every bite! Before filling our bellies with incredible local cuisine we explored the country's only remaining mosque; the Blue Mosque. In the afternoon we visited the Armenian Genocide Museum to learn about the difficult not-so-distant history that continues to greatly impact Armenia today. Our final stop of the day was at the Cascade with its unique art displays and stunning views of Yerevan and nearby Mount Ararat.
