This past Saturday at volunteer day with David Kraemer, we did some manual threshing to save seeds of poppies and #nigella. We simply crushed the chaff (dried parts) away from the seeds in a large lid. Next we filter the seeds through a old colander. Depending on the size of seeds, you can use different types of colanders. We packed seeds in envelopes and labeled with pack date. These ornamental flowers are ready to be direct seeded and will bloom in the spring in everyones gardens. Spread the seeds and love!
