Egg masala gravy recipe – I make egg gravy in so many ways. The egg masala recipe shared here will yield you a very delicious, aromatic & moderately spicy dish that pairs well as a side dish with plain basmati rice, biryani, chapati, paratha and pulao. It also goes well with any flavored variety rice recipes like ghee rice, pudina rice, jeera rice, kuska rice or coconut milk rice.
So here's the recipe from my kitchen to yours.
Ingredients :
7 to 8 nos Boiled Eggs (slits given on each side)
For Frying the Eggs :
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder (the spicy one)(use as per your heat preference)
½ tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
For the Masala Paste :
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (use as per your diet restrictions)
2 large (220 gms) Onions (roughly chopped)
10 to 15 (20 gms) Garlic Cloves
1 inch (10 gms) Ginger (roughly chopped)
2 medium size (120 gms) Tomatoes (roughly chopped)
2 nos Green Chillies (use as per your spice requirement)
2 to 3 tbsp (or a handful) Coriander Leaves
3 tbsp Water
Other Ingredients :
3 tbsp Vegetable Oil (use as per your diet restrictions)
1 tsp heaped Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder (the less spice one)
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
300 ml Water (use water as per the gravy consistency you require & use after rinsing the blender jar)
Few chopped Coriander Leaves for garnishing
1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional)
Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
