The video for Leg 9 of 2022 has arrived! Take a sneak peek into the daily life onboard during this 6–day voyage from Lisbon to Malaga.

We left Lisbon the 9th of September to start our journey to Malaga. On our way, we passed Cadiz, where the original Götheborg and her fellow East Indiamen used to cast anchor to trade Swedish ship building materials such as wood, tar, and iron in exchange for silver, which the Chinese traders wanted as payment for the tea, silk, china ware.

Just after Cadiz, Götheborg entered the Mediterranean from the west for the very first time. We sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar, which is a must-do for many sailors.

We enjoyed six days of authentic sailing, and even spotted dolphins before slowly cruising into the sun-drenched harbor of Malaga.
