Love Divine, all loves excelling is the sixth hymn in our Organ Hymn Series. This stirring hymn uses the tune BLAENWERN, composed by the Welsh composer William Rowlands (1860 - 1937). The text was written by Charles Wesley (1707 - 88). An alternative tune is also often used, LOVE DIVINE composed by John Stainer (1840 - 1901).
This is the sixth hymn in the Organ Hymn Series, where we not only perform some of the best-loved hymns in the world, but we also showcase a variety of hymns from different organs in churches throughout the UK.
