'Wreckage and Debris Found in Search for Missing Indonesian Submarine'
The Indonesian navy has recovered items from a missing submarine, suggesting the vessel has sunk.
Parts of the submarine, along with debris, were found near to where it went missing.
The KRI Nanggala-402 went missing off the coast of Bali on Wednesday with 53 people on board.
Contact was lost with the vessel during a weapons exercise on Wednesday.
Officials previously said the submarine’s oxygen supply was due to run out.
The disappearance led to a huge search and rescue operation in the waters north of Bali, with Australia, India, Malaysia, the US and Singapore sending ships or planes to assist in the search.
