We traveled the big island of Hawaii for two months and wanted to share the top 7 beaches to visit while vacationing there. These beaches offer a variety of sand colors from white sand, black sand and green sand beaches.
These top beaches include the beautiful Kua Bay, Kukio Beach, Hapuna Beach, Pololu Valley Black Sand Beach, Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, Papakolea Green Sand Beach and Pohue Bay.
Some of these are Hawaii State Parks that are easily accessible while some are private and others remote and harder to get to. We included a variety of beaches that have large surfable waves and some that are better for wading and swimming.
