Joong-Gun is named after Ahn Jung-geun, who assassinated Itō Hirobumi, the first Japanese Resident-General of Korea and was known as the man to play the leading part in the Korea-Japan merger (The Annexation of Korea). The pattern consists of 32 movements. The 32 movements represent Mr. Ahn's age when he was executed in Lüshun Prison in 1910.
