So you want a DHCP IP Address but static DNS entries. Using nmcli we can add the entries for the iipv4.dns server entries and to ensure we don't pick them from DHCP we can add ipv4.ignore_auto_dns true. This sets sets the PEER_DNS entry in the backend ifcfg files. This is good for the RHCSA exam in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and everyday administration of your Red Hat or CentOS systems
