Acupuncture & Dry needling
The techniques of both acupuncture and dry needling are very (very) similar. The difference between the two is the theory behind HOW it works.
Both techniques involve a single-use, sterile, fine filament needle (acupuncture needle) which is inserted into the muscle.
Acupuncture (Oriental) focuses on the treatment of medical conditions by restoring the flow of energy (Qi) through key points in the body (meridians) to restore balance.
Dry Needling is primarily focused on the reduction of pain and restoration of function through the release of myofascial trigger points in muscle.
Benefits:
✅ Pain relief
✅ Relief of general superficial symptoms
✅ Release of tight tissue - muscle, fascia, ligament or tendon
✅ Increase in circulation
✅ Improved well-being & Relaxation
