More power in your legs to increase your running stride length will mean running more effortlessly. We're going to learn how to become stronger, which muscles to trigger and how to reinforce your legs to train them to lengthen your stride with less effort. It is not only about developing pure muscle strength (with exercises such as squats, these are great but...) but also synchronizing groups of muscles together (creating synergies) to produce an effective movement.
The first step is to create mobility in your joints, if your joints are stiff, the muscles will have to use more effort to move your limbs across the joint. Loosen yourself up a little with this one easy and actually fun exercise to do here:
