At the Conowingo dam, bald eagles gracefully soar over the beautiful Susquehanna River. They are patiently waiting for the moment the fish are stunned as they pass through the dam’s turbines, leaving them floating on the water's surface. I’m waiting for that moment too. That’s when I know the turn is coming, and I mean a literal turn. Once their target is locked, they quickly start the hunt. This is the most difficult and most exciting part of filming a fish sequence. The tighter you are with your lens, the harder it is to keep them in frame. But if you can keep it close, you get the opportunity to witness some of the best aerial acrobatics.
