Fans, known as Henrigail shippers, favored a romantic relationship between him and Abigail Stanton which is played by Lori Loughlin. Their romance looked like it was about to blossom. But fans were ultimately left disappointed when Abigail left Hope Valley to care for her ill mother back east.
