(19 Sep 2013) ANNA MOLINARI SHOWS A JULIE CHRISTIE-INSPIRED COLLECTION AT MILAN FASHION WEEK
It was the turn of Blugirl to take over the runway on the second day of Milan Fashion Week Thursday (19 SEPT 2013).
Anna Molinari showed her latest collection, which was inspired by the innate elegance of Julie Christie in the film "Darling," defining a style where delicate femininity and charm combined.
The collection looked forward to the warmer climes of Summer 2014, with many dresses short and sleeveless.
The cuts varied between a mini dress, to knee skimming volumes. Fabrics flitted between matte and shiny, and the palette mixed classic white and powder pink with notes of lime yellow, aquamarine and champagne with animal prints.
There was a mariner touch in blue and white, with pastel light blue and sky blue.
The florals were graphic, in the all-over prints of colored roses on cotton, or in raised sequin embroidery and on shantung long dresses, as well as in water-colored garden prints on cotton and silk.
However the mini-dress is the must-have this season, and was on display in many interpretations.
Accessories had the same fresh and feminine side. Shoes all had Luis heels and were in shantung with floral decorations.
