This video covers detailed disassembling procedures for a 1976 Rochester Quadrajet carburetor for a Chevrolet or GM vehicle with an automatic transmission.
I deleted the old original video since it was over an hour long with too much commentary and segments that had little to do with taking the carburetor apart. This one is a lot shorter and to the point.
The Quadrajet used for this demonstration is a 750 CFM carb which is—for all intents and purposes—identical to an 800 CFM carb. Both models were used in some C3 Corvettes with Chevy Small Blocks.
I hope you find this detailed video helpful should you decide to take your Quadrajet carburetor apart to rebuild it.
I used the ACDelco Carburetor Repair Kit sold by Amazon which includes the bearing ball, all clips, gaskets, screws, seals, and more. [ Ссылка ]
The Dorman 10-piece Carburetor Inlet Gasket Assortment is also available through Amazon. [ Ссылка ]
To reseal the carburetor well plugs (primary and secondary), you can use either: J-B Weld Dark Grey TankWeld Gas Tank Repair ([ Ссылка ]) or J-B Weld MarineWeld Marine Epoxy ([ Ссылка ]). They both work well. Don't use regular epoxy. You must use one that is impervious to fuel.
