The families and staff on L52 at the Children’s Hospital enjoyed a visit from Trust Chair Dame Linda Pollard, Clinical Director Colin Holton and Head of Nursing Laura Walton this Halloween. The neurosurgical ward has some of the poorliest children spending the longest time in hospital, with conditions such as brain injury and brain tumours. There were Halloween crafts and a buffet for staff and families to enjoy, kindly offered by Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Ward manager Julie Cooper said, “We don’t often have the opportunity to get together with our children’s families and enjoy a moment together and the visit gave a nice lift to all those on the ward.”
