Breanna Jennings demonstrates a persuasive speech.
"Did you know that 23 percent of all public and private schools have a uniform policy? I have attended schools with and without school uniforms, and I think that school uniforms are good for students.
Students do not always like to wear uniforms, but many schools require them. There are many reasons schools might decide to implement a uniform policy.
The first reason I think school uniforms are good for students is because they save time in the morning. In my personal experience, it took more than 30 minutes to get ready for school without a uniform, and only 10 minutes at with a uniform.
The next two reasons are because they increase school pride and create a sense of community among students. According to a survey 42 percent of parents and 80 percent of teachers agree or strongly agree that the school uniforms have increased school pride and created a sense of community.
Therefore, school uniforms are good for students because they save time, increase school pride, and create a sense of community. I hope this has given you a new perspective of school uniforms. Thank you."
