The Jansen is one of the pioneering punk-rock bands, founded in 2015. The band drew its name from the song 'Hey Jansen,' originally performed by The Kuda, a punk-rock band from Bogor.
The Jansen is composed of four members: Cintarama Bani Satria, who serves as the vocalist and guitarist, Adji Pamungkas on bass, Aduy as the drummer, and Nina Karina, who recently joined in 2022 as a vocalist and guitarist. Hailing from Bogor, the band openly acknowledges their musical inspiration from vintage punk bands of the 1970s like The Undertones, Ramones, Wire, as well as various other bands with a similar style, such as 'Killed by Death' and others in the same genre.
