♥️Being diagnosed with cancer is tough.
Everyone knows this so when you were first diagnosed, you likely received an overwhelming amount of love and support.💫💫
When cancer is first discovered in your body - your oncology team works fast. Scans, labs, test, treatments. Do everything possible to get this under control and get it done as quickly as possible.
But when treatment ends, that all changes. 😔
Of course everyone sees the end of treatment as the end of cancer. Family and friends want to celebrate because you are finally done. You can move on with your life.
All that support goes away.❌
The job of your oncology team is done. You are cancer free. So the appointments start to spread out, it’s difficult to get a call back, and you are left alone.
All through out treatment, it feels like you are actively taking steps to get to cancer free. There is a plan. You are following that plan and checking things off the list.
But then once that plan is complete. It’s just space and time. Nothing. 😯
Here’s what I’ve found is most helpful for women navigating cancer recovery:
✅Find a group of cancer survivors who are willing to share but also encourage each other to move past cancer
➡️Get a cancer recovery plan specific to you and your body so you know you are healing
👟Use gentle movement
🤗Discover transformational mindset work
It’s time to heal. It’s time to recover. You weren’t meant to live in this survival space forever.
