When trying to start this BMW after it's sat for + 12 hrs, the brake peddle is very hard to depress, the car will not start until it realizes you have your foot on the brakes, so the brake light switch needs to be activated, this becomes difficult due to the booster leaking out all the vacuum, mine had a super slow leak, only happened after 12 hrs of idle times, before the 12 hrs the peddle behaved normally during starting operation.
Today I replaced the check valve and the rubbed gasket that seats into the brake servo, these are common faults on 3 series BMW's.
This was not a fun job, I did struggle putting the new seal in without removing the ABS unit....
