After a recent keynote during Q&A someone said to me, “It’s a fact that people hate change. So, how do we overcome that in sales or as leaders?”

My answer: Respectfully, that’s not true!

Everyone I know WANTS to change something about their life, and most executives I know will change in an instant if there is a powerful enough reason to.

So, why is it 'common knowledge' that people don’t want to change? 4 thoughts:

1. The reason to is not Quantified

2. It's not clear that their need is being met

3. Their motivation doesn't match the level of the change

4. Don’t know how

The challenge? Ask yourself & leadership team, how do we look at change as owners?
