Anyone else getting Kobe-scoring-60-in-his-final-game vibes from this 18-point performance by Metta World Peace? I can’t be the only one. The similarities are too… similar. MWP isn’t even close to the absolute legend that Kobe was, but he’s quickly gained the same type of respect among Lakers fans.
I’m not even going to make any Malice at the Palace jokes. As that arena now fades into history, so too will that event. Perhaps this performance by MWP will start rewriting the book on him… look at me, getting all sentimental. I guess I can’t help it, because this dude has sucked big dong for the whole year and now he’s scored 18 tough points in what may be the second-to-last (penultimate for those of you who sleep with your dictionary) game of his career. No more words. This vid speaks for itself.
