Wild mare in Bureau of Land Management captivity tries to steal yet another foal.
A foal she stole 3 weeks earlier starved and was euthanized at 5 days old because officials inundated with 2,700 wild horses in the BLM-contracted "Indian Lakes" holding facility in Fallon, NV, didn't examine the pair even though they observed the emaciated foal failing to thrive. To see that little one, please see my video, "The Life of Sorro" video at [ Ссылка ].
The facts: Horses (& burros) originated in North America. Wild horses are a re-introduced native species which is why the ecosystem embraces them, and they thrive even in the harshest high desert environs.
Here is a concise, science-based document describing the status of the wild horses. It's less than a page to read. Please copy and paste the following long link to read it: [ Ссылка ]

P.S. Lastly, I mistakenly refer to this mare as a "kiger," and I misused the term by doing so. The Kiger mustangs are a specific herd in the Steens Mountains in southeastern Oregon known for having a great deal of the Spanish barb influence and bearing certain markings, including the primitive stripes on legs, which the mare in this video has. But she is not a "Kiger"; she is from the Calico mountain area in Nevada. My bad.
