In this video from The CTAD Clinic, Dr Mike Lloyd (Clinic Director) discusses a way of developing communication in Dissociative Identity Disorder or Other Specified Dissociative Disorder through a deeper and more meaningful understanding of alters / parts. Building on from the Action Systems video, Mike talks about how the 'jobs' or 'roles'' that alters have in dissociated systems may not always be what such parts actually want. By working in therapy and trying to communicate internally in different ways, therapeutic progress can be achieved, so Mike emphasises the importance of having therapeutic support when attempting new clinical techniques.
