A CDC/FEMA collaborated video on how to cope with extreme heat.

Hi, my name is Alex Bruner. I am from FEMA, a close partner with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also known as the C-D-C. This collaborated video will offer tips on how to protect yourself from extreme heat.
It’s getting hotter every year, and the risk of getting heat stroke or heat exhaustion is increasing. So it’s important you know how to stay cool. Drinking water is the first step to preventing heat-related illness.
When it gets hot and humid outside, it is always a good idea to find a place with air-conditioning where you can stay. If you don’t have air-conditioning at home, you can visit public places, like a shopping mall or the library. There may also be a shelter, sometimes called a heat shelter, near you where you can go to keep cool.
Remember, when the temperature gets really high, using fans can help, but they’re not enough. Try taking a cool shower or bath to help keep your body temperature down.
When you go outside, make sure you have plenty of water with you. Wear loose, light-colored clothes. And always put on sunscreen before you go out to protect yourself from sunburn. Working or exercising outside can be dangerous and cause heat stroke or exhaustion. If you have to work outside, try to do it during the morning or evening when it’s cooler, rather than in the middle of the day.
Never leave your children or pets alone in the car, even if you leave the windows down. The temperature inside a car can quickly spike to dangerous levels. Always check the front and back seats to make sure no one is inside before you lock the car and walk away.
If you feel dizzy, have a headache, or feel like you are about to throw up or pass out, move to a cooler place, like under a tree or inside a cool building, right away.,. Loosen your clothes so you can breathe better and put a cool, wet washcloth on your head and neck.
