During the installation you can choose between UiPath Studio Pro, UiPath Studio and UiPath StudioX. I can recommend installing the Studio Pro, since it has more features than regular Studio (especially in the test automation area), or the StudioX (great for the business side users). This playlist will focus on automating in either Studio Pro or Studio. If you like me and want all the latest updates and cool features, take the preview setting, as it gives you all the updates/features, before they are released.

The UiPath Assistant is a desktop launchpad for automations. Your automations will show up here and with a single click on a play button, you can start them. UiPath Assistant doesn’t start automatically with Windows and in this video, we fix that by the help of shell:startup.

Having installed UiPath Studio Pro, we are now ready to build a simple robot. Install the Chrome Extensions (since we are automating in Google Chrome). Using the two activities Open Browser and Click we can create an automation that opens up a Chrome browser and does a simple “I’m feeling lucky” Google search. To go to a URL, just type in the address and remember to have it in quotation marks (since it’s a string).
