In this video I try to feed my baby hognose his first meal in his new home aaaaanddddd that definitely did not go as planned.
He was an angry little noodle!
[Hognose Snakes are not "aggressive snakes" to make this clear. Young snakes, as with any animal, are naturally scared and nervous of a new environment and it's completely normal for them to act how my snake acted in the video. The reason I stated it was "not a good sign" is because some snakes will go on "hunger strikes". So if he decided not to eat, that could have been the start of a long process which is not something you want to happen but ultimately fixable. Of course I get caught off guard when the snake gets angry as I am not yet used to snakes, but I know that this is normal and he will soon calm down. Hognose Snakes make excellent pets and I don't want this video to discourage anyone from getting one! I just wanted to show the first time feeding process and unfortunately the snake being sassy is a part of it. Thanks for watching ya'll!]
