In this video I give you a review of a 0 degree sleeping bag by Kodiak Canvas.
I can only say good things 😊
- spacious: the regular size accommodates someone up to 6 feet. It is also very wide so I can turn around, toss and turn, curl up, do whatever I do while I'm sleeping and the bag stays put
- if you're over 6', get the XLT, it accommodates up to 6'6"
- built in pillow top. You can put your head through, or just have it over your face and peak out time to time or have it completely cover your face. Thin but very warm. It is removable. Tuck in the sides and you have a warm, spacious all around comfy sleeping bag
- light weight, you roll it up, tie it with the included ties and put it in the bag that comes with it
There's room in the bag to stash things in, such as hand warmers, a beanie you use for camping, headlamps, pajamas, etc.
- under your head you can put sweatshirts in to serve as pillow. You can also just put clothes in there to keep warm for the morning. The bag doesn't come with a pocket for phones but you can use this space to stash anything you want handy: phone, battery pack, hand warmer, you hand gun? All this can go on the side, so it won't be under your head.
- water repellent fabric
All around i have to say i love it. I camped under the stars in the snow, just with a cot, a sleeping bag and a tarp. I was warm. Not just not cold, but warm. I no have done this twice and it was amazing.

In this video i also provide you with some advice on how to make your snow camping experience great.
- wether you sleep on a cot, air mattress or even a hammock, you need insulation. You're laying on your sleeping bag so the bottom part won't be as warm as the top because it's now compressed. The combat this, you can do several things:
- get a sleeping pad and place it between the sleeping bag and whatever you're sleeping on
- i didn't want to spend all that money so i just used an old sleeping bag and a Mylar blanket. The Mylar blanket will keep your body heat from escaping.
here is where you can get it from:

or from Amazon: [ Ссылка ]
- if you're sleeping on a cot (or a hammock), you need to fill the cold air underneath you. Put your bags, your camping gear, crates, coolers, fire wood, your dogs, whatever you have to fill the space. You can even put snow, snow is a great insulator. Just make sure it doesn't reach the bottom of your cot or it will all get wet
- you cannot get inside a sleeping bag feeling cold and expect to warm up. You must be warm and then the sleeping bag will help retain your body heat. This is true for any sleeping bag. To do this, warm up by the fire, move around, do jumping jacks, drink hot beverages, you can even put some hand warmers inside your bag
- and finally: in order to let the sleeping bag do its job, have only one layer of clothing. 1 t shirt, 1 pants, nothing to thick. If you have 3-4 layers, your body heat will be trapped under your clothes and you will feel cold, as if you were in a regular sleeping bag. Warm socks are a good idea, I had on gloves to keep my hands warm and I was so comfortable.
Thank you so much for watching! I'm hoping that I was helpful, I'm learning as I"m going and I love sharing my new knowledge with you.
