Composting in piles can be challenging. Most composters that you buy don't work as well as advertised. Remove the challenge and go with something that works (and you can make). The Urban EDC is a composting system based around a ventilated trash can. The aerobic system encourages fungi and worms to break down organic waste into a rich finished soil-like product.
