So what's the point of a cut-scene comparison? Well, the idea is that in scripted, engine-driven segments, both consoles are rendering exactly the same content. It's a good idea of how the tech copes on different platforms when dealing with the same tasks.
Cut-scenes show very little improvement in version 2.0 compared to the original, but what is clear is that Square-Enix is way ahead on the Sony platform when it comes to optimisation.
FF15 currently renders at 1600x900 on PS4 and 1408x792 on Xbox One.
