Unknown US soldier X-77 is buried at the US military cemetery at Draguignan, in southern France. X-77 was found dead near the city of Cannes on August 23rd 1944 after fighting between the 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion and German soldiers of Reserve Division 148. This video explains who X-77 probably is, as well as the identity of another unknown body buried in a local French military cemetery. The families of both men are currently battling to get the permission for both bodies to be exhumed and identified.
