Lesson Objectives: To be able to understand the concept of path difference between two waves. To be able to recognise that when the path difference = nλ ( a whole number of wavelengths), waves arrive in phase and constructive interference occurs and when the path difference = (n + (1/2))λ, the waves arrive in anti-phase and destructive interference occurs
Description: In this video I outline the concept of the path difference and how the path difference indicates whether a wave arrives in phase or in anti-phase. It is a long explanation but I found this the best method of explaining this concept. make sure you can spot the difference between nλ and (n + (1/2))λ.
