Natural Dye is a wonderful thing when it goes well. Medieval and Viking Age dye was almost all natural, made from earth and plant extracts, and can achieve some truly beautiful, vibrant colours when it's used carefully.
But when it goes wrong in the hands of a complete idiot, it's heartbreaking.
We all make mistakes, and natural processes can always go wrong if Mother Nature decides she's not in the mood to play nice. Come and enjoy a few minutes watching a Welsh man abandon all hope and almost asphyxiate himself on wet wood smoke!
