Biography
Childhood years
Costel Busuioc was born in Goruni village, Iasi county, as the second son of Constantin and Georgeta; alongside him, the Busuiocs gave birth to eleven other children, the youngest of whom will graduate from high school only in 2010. The father was a truck driver for many years. The conditions in which Costel spent his childhood were difficult, both because of the modest income of the house and because of the isolation of the town (which lacked electricity and drinking water). At the age of 14, he runs away from home; circumstances forced him to give up his studies, limiting himself to passing the secondary school cycle (eight classes). Although he tried to attend high school, living on his own led him to interrupt his studies shortly after.
Basil will remain for several years in the village of Reea, Hunedoara county. Here he finds a shelter with the help of the "Army of God" missionary association; that's how he met Nelu and Dorina Murg, who would take him as a household helper in the spring of 1992. The young man became a shepherd of the adoptive family's sheep, and two years later he would take the oath of membership in the "Army of the Lord".
Mature age
At the beginning of 1998, Busuioc met Daniela, whom he would marry in May of the same year, in Maramureș. They would settle in the town of Ghilad (Timiș county). The two have four children together: Tabita, Daniel, Sara and Rebecca. Busuioc has several jobs, leaving his job at a cleaning company affiliated with the Romanian Railways in Timișoara (where he worked under the threat of cancer) when he is invited to be a cantor in the chapel of the hospital for the elderly in the city of Ciacova and to work at the massage school there. In the hope of correcting the bad material condition of the family, he will go to Spain in 2006, where he is employed in construction (masonry) The family remaining in the country still lives in Ghilad, with an 80-year-old woman, Maria Tufaru.
