In this video, I used the Basic Hydraulic Condensation Technique (Injecting sealer outside the mouth on a paper pad and transferring the sealer to the root canal using a file and the master gutta percha cone (the traditional technique). Also, the Basic Technique does not require you to change the dispensing tip between patients since the tip does not come in contact with the patient and the material does not set in the tip unless not used for several days. On the other hand, the Advanced Technique is more efficient, requires a microscope, but wastes a very small amount of sealer in the dispensing tip because the tip has to be changed between each patient (comes in contact with the tooth).
More, in this video, I didn’t measure the exact amount of sealer used in a single application to fill a single canal but I tried to replicate the same amount to fill other identical single canals in order to determine how many canals I was able to fill with a single syringe.
💸 At the end, to calculate the cost of the sealer per canal, divide your purchase cost by the number … and you will get the cost per application.
