Capt. Rick Stanczyk goes over his last few weeks of fishing here in Islamoada, Florida Keys. It's April and that means one thing - it's tarpon time! April and May are usually the two best primo months for catching large tarpon in the Florida Keys. Thousands of tarpon show up around the local channels and bridges and begin moving in & out during their spawning time. This is the time of year the big girls are around too and anglers from all around the world are chasing them day in, day out. Fishing this year in 2021 has been phenomenal so far in April. It was a little bit of a slow start in the early season (February/March) due to a lot of late cold weather - but some say that makes the prime season even better as a lot of the fish don't get too beat up early on.
