Spitfire Saturday with the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.LFVb, with this one being the most credited Mk V in existence and maybe the most credited WWII fighter. This Spitfire, EP120 was built at Castle Bromwich in 1942, and was delivered to 45 MU at Kinloss on 23rd May 1942, followed by No. 501 Squadron on June 4th 1942. During it’s time with the 501 squadron piloted by Wg Cdr Patrick Gibbs it shot down a DO217. Later that year it was transferred to No.19 squadron, and in april 1943 to the No.402 Squadron. During this time with Sqdn Ldr Jeff Northcote at the controls it shot down five Messerschmitt Bf109’s and one Focke-Wulf FW-190’s. This bringing the total to seven kills. Video: @the.changeintime
