Now It's Christmas 2013 Christmas Play at IBC
Many times when the Christmas season is nearing people have thoughts about how others celebrate Christmas in different ways and in different places around the world.
Maybe you also have wondered, "How to people celebrate Christmas in Australia, in Korea, in Japan, or some other place?"
In this play, we shall entertain the question, "How did people in America celebrate Christmas in the early years of our own country?"
To help us answer this question, we are going to drift back in time to the mid 1800s.
We shall visit a small country church, the First Baptist Church of Couldbeanywhere, USA, and witness as they celebrate Christmas.
Oh, I might add, for this little church and this specific time in history, "Christmas" happens to fall on Sunday the Lord's Day.
So... How did they celebrate back then as compared to today? What was different? What was similar? What was the message about? How was that message received?
You've probably heard, "There's no better time than the present to find out."
So, let's go...
Let's travel back in time and join this small congregation as they celebrate Christmas.
